Hull City take on Reading today at the KCOM Stadium with both sides looking to pick up their first points of the season. Here is a predicted starting XI for the hosts-
GK- George Long- He started in the Tigers’ defeat to Swansea City last weekend and is likely to keep his place.
RB- Eric Lichaj- It will be a first home game as captain for the American.
CB- Reece Burke- He is expected to keep his place in the back four despite Hull bringing in Everton defender Matthew Pennington on loan on Thursday.
CB- Jordy de Wijs- The Dutchman went off ill against the Swans but has trained this week.
LB- Stephen Kingsley- The Scot will be in competition with new signing Callum Elder for the left-back spot now.
RM- Jarrod Bowen- Hull have managed to keep hold of their star man and he will be eager to hit the ground running today.
CM- Kevin Stewart- It is a big season for the ex-Liverpool midfielder.
CM- Jackson Irvine- The Australian international is in his third year in East Yorkshire.
CM- George Honeyman- Could he be the only recent signing to start this afternoon in midfield?
LM- Kamil Grosicki- Another key player the Tigers have kept hold of for now. The Poland international will be looking to cause the Royals problems.
ST- Tom Eaves- The summer signing from Gillingham could get his first start in the black and amber ahead of Nouha Dicko.
